Topic, resources, means of creation, and proposed components for messaging will be

discussed and examined for a level of rigor appropriate for completion of the master's degree.

I feel like what I have so far with branding, web design, and messaging is at a master's level. My goal right now is to continue to push the conversations further to be as encompassing as possible and to dig deeper into the research components of the project. I don't want to lose the quality of content as the semester wraps up. Keeping a good time schedule is the key. I also want to make sure I give myself enough time to build my capstone page and presentation deck so that it reflects all the work I've put in and the tells the story I'm trying to showcase.

The project will be program-encompassing and representative of the Master of Arts in Graphic and Web Design. In addition to demonstrating a master's level of sophistication in topic and approach, the Capstone project will appropriately synthesize skillsets that comprise the degree, showcasing design theory and interactivity applied through learned techniques and technologies.

What's present: typography, web design, illustrations, branding, design in context, design systems, creative coding (p5.js), design programs (Illustrator, InDesign, Figma)

What needs to come: motion graphics, infographics, UX user testing, webpage coding (html, css, javascript)

Research and collected data must be accurate and verifiable, with sources listed and accessible. In addition to providing citation within the work itself, research assets will be accessible through an ongoing online archive (G Drive folder, Google Doc, Progress Platform of choice).

I'm still gathering all the resources. All the content and information in my project is from quality sources. Right now, I'm focused on getting the info on the page. Once I finish collecting / organizing them, then I will need to build out that research doc and appropriately credit them within the project.

Consistent documentation of process to further articulate intentions of what you're making. Process is as important as the final product-- sometimes more so. The primary methods of sharing process will be through regular (at least once a week) updates of your chosen Process Platform, the Discussion Board, and weekly meetings.

I've been posting to my progress platform as updates are made to document the process of this progress and to be able to reflect back on where I started vs. how it it finalized.

In addition to other exhibition offerings and presentations, the final project, along with its process, will be accessible and discoverable for viewing as an online gallery. The Capstone Page will be hosted outside of MCAD's server, as that resource is inaccessible post-graduation. Students will code their own Capstone Page as a case study summary of their work.

I haven't built this page out yet, but I will start planning out the layout and how I want it to look. My idea so far is to keep it minimal so that the work can really be the focus of the page. I also want to make sure it's fresh / fits in with the style of the project and that it tells the story of the project without having to be present for my presentation.

The project should allow for community engagement and partnership. Your Capstone work will not exist in a vacuum. Through networking and external consultation, students are expected to leverage the project with audiences outside of class as a means to further social outreach for their topic and professional goals.

I'm in contact with several sources from all different backgrounds to ensure this project is hitting all the perspectives with information that is accurate, informative, relevant, engaging, and inclusive. I'm creating infographics with information that can be shared as an actual resource for various topics teens are dealing with. I'll continue to have conversations outside of class and I'd love to continue to add to the resources even after graduation. My dream would be to have this program come to fruition. I want it to change the way sex ed is taught to teens and how teens are prepared for the world outside of middle school and high school.
